The MAXLEXIA™ MasterClass~ Educator Excellence Series “Understanding the Dyslexic Student” is created to help all educational professionals be able to Recognize dyslexia, Optimize classroom practices and Maximize academic success!

Watching any student struggle and lose confidence in themselves is truly heartbreaking. All teachers wish to be able to effectively reach every student in their classroom. MAXLEXIA™ is unique in its approach as it also addresses the often overlooked emotional and psychological aspects of living with dyslexia.

With minimal training in dyslexia provided by traditional teacher certification, many educators are left without the necessary tools and resources to best support their dyslexic students.

The MAXLEXIA™ MasterClass~ Educator Excellence Series is specifically designed to fill those gaps.

Unit 1~ “How to RECOGNIZE dyslexic students” provides information on unconventional red flags which may indicate that a child is dyslexic. Outlines effective ways to communicate these concerns to parents with the necessary sensitivity. It will help build a repertoire of local and online resources for dyslexia support and will help generate strategies to empower both dyslexic students and their parents.

Unit 2~ “How to OPTIMIZE teaching students with dyslexia” looks at best classroom practices with creative and innovative ways of presenting content, which are most effective for dyslexic students. Teachers will leave with actionable tools they can use in their own classroom that work for ALL students.

Unit 3~ “How to MAXIMIZE success for dyslexic students”  helps teachers find alternative ways of assessing dyslexic students. The goal is not to diminish the learning outcome but rather to have more choice in the way students can “show what they know”. This is a game changer for students with dyslexia!

Completing all three units in the Educator Excellence course will give teachers the information and the skills necessary to guide every dyslexic student to academic success and to reach their full potential!
